Save 40 percent on overdue traffic tickets, court fees Feb. 20-27
Collection fees will not be charged in St. Lucie County during Operation Green Light
FORT PIERCE, FLA. (Jan. 27, 2021) – Drivers with a suspended license or overdue traffic tickets may be eligible to get back on the road through the Clerk’s annual Operation Green Light event Feb. 20-27. Citizens with cases in collections will be allowed to pay their court fees and fines without getting charged the 40 percent collection surcharge. This is the fourth time the Clerk’s office has hosted the event, which is part of a statewide initiative.
Customers can pay their overdue cases at stlucieclerk.com or by phone at 866-253-7528. Traffic tickets must be paid in full, but if criminal court fees can’t be paid in full, they can still benefit from savings by signing up for a criminal payment plan at stlucieclerk.com/paymentplan.
Customers may also schedule an appointment at stlucieclerk.com/ogl for assistance with paying fees in person or setting up a payment plan. After the plans are established, payments can also be made at the Clerk’s new drive thru at the northwest corner of Indian River Drive and Atlantic Avenue in Fort Pierce.
Customers who enter into a payment plan receive email and text reminders when their payment is due. There is a $25 administrative fee to set up a payment plan, plus a $100 minimum down payment.
Payments by credit card are subject to a transaction fee. Customers with appointments can make payments in cash, cashier’s check, money order or credit card. Appointments will be held at the Clerk’s main office at 201 S. Indian River Drive in Fort Pierce and at the St. Lucie West office at 250 N.W. Country Club Dr., Port St. Lucie, FL 34986. Once drivers become eligible to get their license back, they can schedule an appointment with the Tax Collector’s office at tcslc.com.
